Helps you create a free photo for use in your passport, driver’s license, diving certificate, and more. Although the service is no longer active, I’ve open-sourced the code.

The idea for BilledID originated when my friend Christian visited for dinner. He suggested creating a free service that would allow users to generate ID photos in just a few clicks. It was quite expensive at the time to have your photo taken for your ID. I had the first version up and running a couple of hours later.

A year later, another friend, Daniel, redesigned the website.

We maintained the service for several years and formed partnerships with companies that could print the photos for users. The service was free, and we never profited from it. We attracted a few thousand users.
