So many nice people are getting new macs and have a hard time figuring out what to install on this mighty-fine machine .. so here are essential recommendations for what to install, whether you’re setting it up for work, school, or personal use:

Must-have applications

• Raycast because you deserve it
• Google Chrome because Safari is already installed and you might want an alternative
• Bitwarden because you want to use passwords you cannot remember and 1Password is too expensive
• iCloud Drive so you can avoid Dropbox for anything in the world
• Obsidian so you can tell your PM that you found something way better than Notion
• Spotify because you like music but Apple Music is crap
