Finally did a test ride with FSD in Denmark Jan 08
Yesterday, I drove to Odense for a test ride at Tesla. They showcased the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, and I had read extensively about it and watched nearly every video available. I needed to experience it for myself.
It was amazing. Although it was snowing lightly, Tesla was concerned that the system might disengage too often, but we got to try it anyway. The car performed exceptionally well with no issues at all.
The smoothness and confidence made it feel less like a tech demo and more like riding with someone who has driven that route a thousand times.
What truly impressed me was how natural it felt. The car handled lane changes, merges, and even snowy conditions effortlessly.
The fully self-driving car is a solved problem. End of story. You can argue when the steering wheel will be gone and when you can sleep in the car, sure .. but as someone who spends most of his time coding and building products, this feature sheet has moved from in development to done for sure. Done-done coming up.
